I know you guys are too much excited about the upcoming summer break. I know you have some plans already, like outings and etc. Summer perhaps, is every student's desire. Away from school, (Yey!) Away from terror teachers & professors, nothing to worry about ( like homeworks, exams and etc.) Just pure fun! But, is this just what we think of summer break? Have we forgotten that there can be more than this?
Dude, I'm not trying to be the hero here, I'm just trying to wake you up guys. Summer's not just having fun on the beach, hanging out with your friends. We can do other things, like to participate in some outreach programs, attend some workshops, getting active on the upcoming elections,( Gotta have a blog about this one) and most especially to at least have some time with our family, most especially with our beloved parents.
We've been so busy for school for about 10 months, and summer break is a perfect time for us to make up our lost time with them. I'm not saying that we must be with them every minute, every hour, (that's impossible!) what I'm trying to say is, to give them attention and bonding moments is something they would really love and appreciate. It may seem that they're just okay even if we're not having time to bond with them, but deep inside, they really want to be with us even for a short period of time. Parent's are just like that, they're not that vocal on things like that, but they express it in some other ways.
They send us to school, because they want us to become a better person, they want to see us successful. That's all they've wanted for us, to have a better life. Even though, there are times that seems that they don't care about us, they have their own reasons why they're like that. And you know what, for them to send us to school is something that we're really lucky of. Not all has the opportunity to study, so we must value our education , because our parents are sweating blood just to send us to school.
So, go ahead and make a plan about your summer break! Don't forget to spend some time to give thanks and return the love they give, gave and giving for us. :)) I know it's easier said than done, but just like what our parents are doing, they give care and love for us in many different ways, show them too. Gluck! Have a good summer! :))
